Ventilated Enclosures

Ventilated enclosures are designed to provide usable access while supporting exhaust at the point of work. Depending on the application, they can be configured with single-sided or dual-sided ventilation, horizontal sliding doors, various sash configurations, and interior materials suited to the lab environment.

These enclosures are especially useful when equipment needs to remain accessible for operation, maintenance, loading, or observation. Instead of forcing equipment into a standard fume hood layout, a ventilated enclosure can be adapted to the process and the space.

Configuration and Utility Options

Ventilated enclosures can be built with horizontal sliding doors and sash arrangements that provide maximum access to equipment. Interior liner options may include stainless steel, poly resin, or epoxy-painted cement board, depending on the application and durability requirements.

Lighting, receptacles, plumbing fittings, valves, and outlets can also be coordinated into the enclosure design. These options should be reviewed early so the enclosure, utilities, equipment, and exhaust connection work together as a complete system.
