Canopy Fume Hoods
Canopy Fume Hoods
Not every application requires a fully enclosed fume hood.
LF Systems provides canopy fume hoods designed to capture and exhaust heat, steam, and non-toxic vapors from laboratory processes and equipment. Installed above the work area, these systems provide effective ventilation without enclosing the workspace.
Canopy hoods are ideal for applications where containment is not required, but exhaust and environmental control are still critical.
Overhead Ventilation for Heat, Steam, and Non-Hazardous Exhaust
Designed for Open Work Areas and Large Equipment
Unlike traditional fume hoods, canopy hoods do not have a sash or enclosed workspace.
They are best suited for:
- Ovens, autoclaves, and water baths
- Equipment that generates heat or steam
- Large apparatus that cannot fit inside a standard hood
- Open lab areas requiring general exhaust
Because they are installed overhead, canopy hoods allow users to work freely beneath the system while still removing unwanted heat and vapors.
Core Features & Construction
LF Systems canopy fume hoods are built for durability and flexibility:
- Available in ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted configurations
- Standard sizes ranging from 36″ to 72″ widths
- Approx. 18″ height profile for overhead installation
- Depth options for different applications (24″–48″ typical)
- Constructed from painted steel or stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance
These systems are designed to integrate easily into a variety of lab layouts and equipment configurations.
